Translation Rules
EN is the documentation Source of Truth (SoT). Translations are derived and must not change meaning.
Hard Rules
- No meaning drift: translations must preserve intent, scope, and constraints.
- No creative localization: do not rewrite, embellish, or change tone to marketing copy.
- Anchors are stable identifiers: explicit anchors like
{#registry-upload}must never be translated or modified. - Help keys are stable identifiers: strings like
help.documents.registry.uploadmust never be translated or modified. - Docs ↔ Product link patterns are contract-governed and must remain stable (see
zeno-specs/02_CORE/ZENO_DOCS_PRODUCT_CONTRACT.md).
Terminology
- Use the canonical terms in
Glossary. - UI labels should match product UI strings (zeno-console) when those strings exist.
